You should know that the Government is presently undertaking a full-scale review of the law of trusts.

Our firm is closely following the review and we anticipate several law changes. The anticipated law changes are likely to include regulations to ensure that trusts are better administered and managed.

We think it is important that your trust continues to comply with the law and is able to withstand legal scrutiny. Accordingly, we have established a new division which will focus exclusively on trust management and administration of your trust.

This division, the “Trust Service”, is to be managed by Trust Service Manager, Mariska van den Haak. Mariska completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Company Law in the Netherlands at the University of Leiden.

Mariska will work closely with other members of our legal team to ensure that your trust is appropriately managed and administered. If you have any questions about the Trust Service, please contact Mariska on 07 343 1624 or mariska@blackmanspargo.co.nz.
