One of our clients has recently been recognised as a driving force behind irrigation development in the wider south Canterbury region.

Glenavy dairy farmer, Robin Murphy was one of two recipients of the biennial Ron Cocks Memorial Award at Irrigation New Zealand’s conference dinner in Oamaru recently.

As chairman of the Morven Glenavy Ikawai (MGI) irrigation scheme, Robin is particularly proud of the recent commissioning of the $32 million Waihao Downs project, with other highlights during his 30+ years’ involvement being helping to compile the scheme’s history for the recently published book “Water Gives Life”, opening new offices in Glenavy, and employing both an environmental manager in 2014 and more recently a general manager for the scheme.

Congratulations Robin!
